Article 8 Ministry Teams of the Association
Section 1 Formation of Ministry Teams
The Executive Board shall implement ministry teams in accordance with the SJBA Guiding Documents for the 21st Century (attached).
Section 2 Team Leaders
Each team will be led by a Team Leader. Team Leaders will be nominated and elected by the Executive Board. Nominees must be contacted and agree to nomination before their names are offered to the Board.
Team Leaders will work with the Director of Missions and other Team Leaders to determine and implement the most effective organization for their Team.
Team Leaders shall report regularly on the activities of their Ministry Team to the Executive Board, the Executive Board Council, and the Annual Meeting.
Policies
Article 9 Modifying This Constitution and By-Laws
This Constitution and By-Laws may be amended by a (2/3) two-thirds vote of the messengers present at the Annual Meeting provided the amendment is recommended by the Executive Board. Recommended changes must be communicated to member churches by the Executive Board at least 30 days prior to the Annual Meeting. The attached SJBA Guiding Documents for the 21st Century may be changed by a simple majority vote at a meeting of the Executive Board.
Article 10 By-Laws
Section 1 Rules Governing Association Meetings
In questions concerning the procedure of the Association, Robert's Rules of Order (latest revised edition) shall be the authority used by the presiding officer and by the Association, except wherever the Constitution or By-Laws clearly cover such procedure.
Section 2 Official Calendars
The official calendar years of the Association are as follows.
Ministry Year: October 1 to September 30
Fiscal Year: January 1 to December 31
Article 11 Auxiliaries and Ministries
The Executive Board of the Association shall have the right to organize auxiliaries and establish ministries or teams which the Board deems necessary for the fulfillment of Article 2 and the SJBA Guiding Documents for the 21st Century (attached).
